ABOUT ME

  Hey there, my name is Cheyenne! I am a certified book editor just trying to make a living doing what I love!

  I have been reading ever since I was a child, from opening picture books before I could comprehend sentences and making up my own stories, to reading at least three books a week (when I'm not editing.) I was never one to really finish anything growing up, but always found myself finishing book after book, being immersed into the worlds authors created. However, while reading I would find tons of grammatical, as well as developmental errors and holes in plotlines. I didn’t realize at the time I was already doing what most editors do, so I chose to make a career out of it! I was certified as a book editor through IAP Career College in January of 2023. I started Helluva Editing Company in January 2023 to make access to editing easier, specifically for new and indie authors. Every new book I edit is a chance to gain more knowledge, and I thrive on the nitty gritty details that help make a novel a success.

  Here is a little fun information to get to know more about me: I'm an Aries. I love the color green. Sarah J. Maas will forever be my favorite author. My favorite book tropes are enemies-to-lovers, who hurt you, grumpy/sunshine, fake relationships, and forced proximity. I love the opportunity to see new ways that authors invent in order to keep readers hanging on to their every word. 

  When I’m not reading … I am wrangling my adorable two-year-old daughter, Dixie Lee, and my two dogs. Nash is a Catahoula Leopard dog and Kia is a full-blooded American pit bull terrier. I love all my babies very much. My husband, Kyle, is an amazing man who has supported all my crazy hopes, dreams, and endeavors from the start. I am very grateful to have him cheering for me on the sidelines.
